Position Purpose
This position requires the ability to make magnetic component recommendations at the circuit level and an understanding of power magnetics and EMC. We are seeking highly motivated Power Magnetics Product Design Engineers with power magnetic design experience and/or power supply design experience to work very closely with all the Semiconductor Manufacturers, in particular in Silicon Valley.
A technical creativity to support the future product development will fit perfectly in a team-driven growth, by frequent contact with our productions in the Far East. We will consider self-starting, new graduates who are quick to learn and looking for a challenge.
Position Duties
- An energetic, customer-focused person with good people skills
- Strong technical skills and presentation skills are required
- Responsible for supporting IC Manufacturer(s) and some travel is expected
- This person must have, and/or be willing to, continuously develop a strong knowledge of power magnetics
- This person will be required to obtain a working knowledge of the various SMPS topologies including Buck Regulator, Boost Regulator, SEPIC-Regulator
- Generate print position on reference designs at IC Manufacturers
- Help define product development needs for all product lines
Education & Experience
- While we are willing to train the right candidate, 2 years of experience with power magnetic designs is preferred
- Minimum: BSEE/MSEE
